TOPIC: Image fade out on scroll

Image fade out on scroll 7 years 2 months ago #949

Hi and thanks for the awesome plugin... I am trying to do a fade out only on scroll but I can't seem to get it not to fade out automatically.

These are the setting I have
[edsanimate_start entry_animation_type= "" entry_delay= "" entry_duration= "" entry_timing= "" exit_animation_type= "fadeOut" exit_delay= "0" exit_duration= ".5" exit_timing= "0" animation_repeat= "1" keep= "yes" animate_on= "scroll" scroll_offset= "5" custom_css_class= ""]

<a href="www.yutow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/YuTow-1.png"><img class="alignnone wp-image-14 size-full fade" src="www.yutow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08...1-e1503017861321.png" alt="" width="2000" height="340" /></a>

[edsanimate_end]

Many thanks!

Dear John,

Thanks for using the Animate It!

Regarding your issue, I have copied and pasted the exact same code on a demo website.
And it is working perfectly. you can check it here: animateitdemo.wpdevcloud.com/post-for-john/

It might be a plugin/theme conflict.
Could you please share the link to the page where this issue is.
that would help us look into it in detail.

Thanks

Dear John,

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
But the Plugin's default scroll feature will animate the element, when the screen is scrolled to that area.
And not to apply the animation when scrolling starts.
So in your case, as soon as the element is on the screen, the animation will be applied, which in your case, is instantly :)

You would require some addition script, like in the example: codepen.io/nickcil/pen/sfutl in order to achieve this.
I'll ask the Dev team to look into it, but it will take until Monday to post a response.
I will update you as soon as I have something.
